" RAINBOW "

A rainbow appeared this evening after the rain;
Pink, red, blue, purple, green and yellow arced the sky.
The sun peeked through pink and white puffy clouds
Displaying a magnificent treat for every eye.

We stood transfixed upon the glorious view
Nature presented a grand show before our very eyes
The miracle of color transformed an ordinary day
Into an unforgettable memory of natural highs.

" My Meadowlark "

He shoots hoops in the basket
Rather well I might say;
I call him 'my Meadowlark'
Cuz he loves to play 'most everyday.

He spins the ball on his finger
Rather well I might say;
I call him 'my Meadowlark'
Cuz he entertains himself that way.

He likes dunkin' the ball in the net
Rather well I might say;
I call him 'my Meadowlark'
Cuz he shoots 99% and that's A-OK!

He is the King of the Court
And a very endearing sort;
'My Meadowlark' loves his sport.
It's one he will not abort
It's a known, he wants no cohort,
Choosing to go it alone
Setting his own tone...

'My Meadowlark, my Meadowlark'
